SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator to join our Public Relations team. This full-time role will primarily work on-site (days).

Purpose of this position: Under limited supervision, performs work involving the implementation of public relations and marketing initiatives, application of technical expertise and independent judgment to the preparation of specialized communications, the use of communications technology, public service contact, and administrative support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, edit, copy read, and publish public relations materials. Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with department standards and marketing strategies
  • Collect, evaluate, screen, relay, and respond to a broad range of requests for information from the public and other healthcare system staff
  • Manage communications planning and tactical execution for annual/evergreen topics
  • Monitor and maintain day-to-day departmental budget transactions; create requisitions, process transactions involving departmental and system-wide operations
  • Work successfully with communications technologies including mass email platforms, publishing software, inventory management systems, and other technology required to support the department and disseminate information. Train and/or coordinate training of users on these systems and programs
  • Develop and maintain information on the intranet site
  • Prepare, file, retrieve, and maintain records and documents from departmental filing systems; develop forms and/or assist with revision; oversee and manage supplies and inventory
  • Support community and healthcare system events and maintain inventories of materials and event items
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate specific departmental programs and activities and support reporting of departmental progress on visual management boards and through the capture of data and performance results
  • Perform additional specialized job functions, but only after appropriate training

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in related field

  • Two-year degree in related field with 3-4 years of related experience

  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience


Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

  • Planning, writing, editing, ease with technology, strong people skills, organizational skills
